“A Must Read for Swim Parents”

“Coach Warner has written a great book for parents. If your child is just learning to swim or entering the world of competitive youth swimming, this easy read is as important as the right swim goggles. Let this Hall Of Fame coach help you help your child to have the best swim team experience possible. Chuck Warner mixes meaningful antidotes with lessons he learned the hard way, with observations as a summer swim camp owner. It’s an important book that your child’s swim coach would love you to read. Your swimmer, too!”

“A Valuable Guidebook for Parents to Intentionally Empower their Kids to Succeed in Life and Swim!”

“I cannot say enough good things about this book. As parents, we all want to do our best to raise kids that grow up to be great adults. Each page conveys the author’s genuine intent to equip parents to empower their children, in swimming and in life. He encourages tangible ways to parent with wisdom and forethought in order to raise strong, kind, independent humans that swim with passion and develop personal ownership over their swim careers. As parents of young swimmers, we hope to apply many principles from this book to come alongside our kids as they chase their dreams!”

These are some of Coach Warner’s main thoughts for parents considering swim lessons for their children.

“Always be proud of your child’s efforts! Praise the effort, not the outcome”

“There’s a difference between kids that swim, and kids that don’t. Parents should appreciate the automatic health benefits of swimming for their children…cardiovascular system, strength, emotional development and being able to save your life, or save your friend’s life in the water”

“Don’t miss the fact that kids need to learn how to swim. Appreciate the fact that those who become a competent and good swimmer will have the ability to fully enjoy all the great lakes, rivers, oceans and boating activities that other people miss out on.”

“By providing your child the opportunity to learn swimming, you empower your child to experience and build self-esteem, to learn a lifetime skill, to be challenged, and to learn, grown and develop swimming skills at their own pace.”

“When I was 13 years old, I knew I wanted to be a coach of swimming.” The coaching comes first and the avenue of the sport of swimming comes second.”

“Don’t put your expectations on your child and appreciate their efforts….you can always control your attitude and expectations, to be supportive of the effort your son or daughter is making.”

NEED HELP DECIDING ON WHICH CLASS LEVEL BEST FITS YOUR SWIMMER?

My daughters have just signed up the end of February and my 7-year old can already swim freestyle down the length of the pool. My 5-year old is floating on her back and practicing freestyle and back stroke. The class size is small, the coaches are very attentive, and the director is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable on swim techniques and teaching children.

I would like to thank you for all you’re doing to make learning how to swim a great experience for the children…personally, my two daughters. The mat in the changing room helps a lot, and the room is nice and warm when they go back to get dressed. The ‘Baby and Me’ class is so much better now that we are separated from the toddlers. I feel honored that my daughter, Alejandra, had you as her coach this morning…she was very excited about all the things she learned!

My husband and I are very happy to see the progress of our children and we highly recommend your swim academy. I work at a pre-school and I would love to share some flyers there. Thank you again for all you do!

My family is taking child and adult classes with Little Dolphins. We are thrilled and more than satisfied! The instructors and Coach Chuck are amazing and very motivating. They are kind and experienced, and handle the children (and adults) well. My boys and me have moved from being afraid to put our faces in the water…to having fun and being able to execute several different strokes. While the lessons are in a ‘group’, the instructors work one-one with us to improve our form.
