Our "perpetual swim classes system" allows you to join whenever there is space in a class. Our swim classes are divided by age and ability -- you can check schedules and register online for any of the classes below. We are constantly adding more swim classes and lessons, so if you don't see what you're looking for, please email us.

Pre-School Classes


Bathtime Babies (First Class is Free) - Registration Now Available

Our first time “Bathtime Baby” class is FREE for parents and babies ages two to six months old. This class is designed and offered to parents of newborns, ages two to five months old. Parents are instructed on how to use their bath time at home with their babies for socialization, bonding, and introduction to the wonderful world of water. Parents should bring:

  • 2 Reusable diapers (we sell in our Swim Shop),
  • Car Seat for baby while you dress, favorite bath time toy,
  • Bottle or breast feeding prep, and
  • A calm, relaxed attitude (Babies pick up on your stress). 

Baby & Me I 

  • Age 6-24 months
  • Class Length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: None. Must wear 2 reusable swim pants (we have them for sale in our swim shop.) No diposable diapers.
  • Goals: Fun songs and aquatic activities increase confidence while the babies learn to submerge comfortably with eight to ten second breath control. Our instructors lead the parents with their babies in the water. Little Dolphins Swim Academy teaches swimming in a warm and loving environment with effective, time tested techniques.

Baby & Me II 

  • Age 6-24 months
  • Class Length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Must wear two resusable swim pants. Can already submerge comfortably for eight to ten seconds.
  • Goals: Babies are challenged to be more independent in a fun environment, and to move three feet through the water. This level is taught with the Baby and Me level I. We teach a delicate balance at this level between allowing enough independence for babies to embrace swimming as transportation, but not allowing babies to flounder in the water, fighting for survival. Our instructors will help guide parents so that they don’t hold the baby so close he can’t experience buoyancy and swimming. We are careful to help the parent develop emotional security in the water so the baby avoids fear and unhappiness.

Toddler & Me 

  • 24 to 48 months
  • Class Length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: None. Under 3 or not potty trained must wear two reusable swim pants (We sell in our Swim Shop.) No disposable diapers. 
  • Goals:To become comfortable for group lessons. Toddlers are challenged to be more independent in a fun environment, and through the water.  We teach a delicate balance at this level between allowing enough independence for toddlers to embrace swimming as transportation, but not allowing them to flounder in the water, fighting for survival. Our instructors will help guide parents so that they don’t hold the toddlers so close he can’t experience buoyancy and swimming. 

Gold Fish I 

  • Age 24-36 months
  • Class Length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can leave Mom/Dad to take a group lesson; can allow water over the head
  • Goals: Kids learn how to comfortably put their head underwater; float independently, and swim five feet. Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of ten skills.

Gold Fish II 

  • Age 24-36 months
  • Required ability: Child can float independent of instructor; can blow bubbles and achieve 5 relaxed bobs; can float independently and swim five feet.
  • Goals: Students learn how to recover arms over the water when swimming; flutter kick & scull across the pool and roll from front to back. Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of ten skills.

Get Wet RibbonGet Wet

  • Ages 3-6 (Kindergarten and younger)
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Can leave Mom/Dad to take swim lesson.
  • Goals: Students learn how to comfortably leave mom and dad, put their head underwater, and form a 'streamlined position." Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of six skills.

Get Wet RibbonGet Gliding

  • Ages 3-6 (Kindergarten and younger)
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required Ability: Go underwater independently, jumping or from a seated position.
  •  
  • Goals: Independent floats, glides (streamline push-offs) and swimming five feet without any assistance.

Beginner I Beginner Ribbon

  • Ages 3-6
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can float independent of instructor; can blow bubbles and achieve 5 relaxed bobs; can kick on their back with support behind their head/neck.
  • Goals: Students learn to swim across the pool with rotary breathing and on their back. 

Advanced Beginner I

Advanced Beginner 1 Ribbon

  • Ages 6-12
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can swim 40 feet freestyle with rotary breathing, on their back and  can surface dive to the bottom with some help.
  • Goals: Students learn how to single arm kick w/noodle w/ balanced breathing; swim elementary backstroke. Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of ten skills.

First Grade and Older Classes

Beginner II Beginner II Ribbon

  • Ages 5-12 (first grade and older)
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can pour water over the head; can leave Mom/Dad to take swim class.
  • Goals: Students learn how to swim front crawl w/ rotary breathing; swim backstroke one length. Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of ten skills.

Beginner II Teen 

  • Ages 13-16
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can pour water over the head; can leave Mom/Dad to take swim class.
  • Goals: Students learn how to swim front crawl w/ rotary breathing; swim backstroke one length. Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of ten skills.

Advanced Beginner II Advanced beginner II Ribbon

  • Ages 6-16 (first grade and older)
  • Class length: 30 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can swim 40 feet of freestyle with rotary breathing and backstroke. They can peform a roll from front to back and  can surface dive to the bottom with some help.
  • Goals: Students improve their freestyle and backstroke technique, and learn breastroke kick and basic butterfly. Swimmers advance when they meet our LDSA curriculum of ten skills.

Intermediate Intermediate Ribbon

  • Ages 6-16 (first grade and older)
  • Class length: 45 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can swim 4 lengths of the pool w/ rotary breathing; can swim breaststroke; can butterfly for one length.
  • Goals: Students learn how to perform a flip turn; swim a continuous 100 yard medley of the four strokes. Swimmers advance by swimming crawl, back, and breaststroke for multiple lengths of the pool.

Super-Dolphin Squad Super Dolphin Squad Ribbon

  • Ages 6-16
  • Class length: 45 minutes
  • Required ability: Child can swim 4 lengths of the pool w/ rotary breathing; can swim breaststroke; can butterfly one length.
  • Goals: Students learn superior competitive swimming skills including a flip turn and all four competitive strokes with extensive work on increasing their distance per stroke. Many students will use this class as a suplement to joining a competitive swimming team.

Adult Beginner

  • Ages: 16 and up
  • Class length: 45 minutes
  • This class will be geared to the ability of the participants. However, its primary goal is to become relaxed in the water, float and kick comfortably and then learn to swim with rotary breathing.

Adult Advanced Beginner

  • Ages 18 and up
  • Class length: 45 minutes
  • Required ability: Adults that can swim freestyle (one length with rotary breathing
  • Goals: To refine technique and develop backstroke, and breaststroke
